I’m Margianna Katsigianni (also known as Maria Ioanna or Margie), a business administration graduate transitioning into data analytics, with a strong interest in understanding how structure, systems, and data shape real-world decisions.
My background spans academic research, operational data work, and self-directed technical projects. In my thesis, I applied statistical models in R using real university exam data to explore how data can be structured, analyzed, and interpreted beyond surface-level metrics. Professionally, I’ve worked extensively with ERP/CRM systems, maintaining and validating customer, product, and transactional data, and exporting datasets to Excel to support reconciliation and operational processes.
Alongside formal experience, I’m deeply motivated by building systems around the things I care about. I naturally approach problems by imagining the desired outcome and working backward — breaking complexity into manageable, logical components. This mindset has shaped everything from how I design personal databases and tracking systems to how I approach data analysis and learning new technical tools.
